In September, I drove for hours down through the Appalachians to reach a small farm in the mountains of North Carolina. I set up my studio in the back bedroom of the farm house and lived there for six weeks while producing this EP. I went on walks daily through the woods, I befriended a burdock-infested goat named Aries, I cooked the best food I have ever cooked, and I found fantastic friendship in the residents & passing travelers. I remember eating gingerbread sourdough pancakes one morning and leaving the farm six short weeks after I had arrived. On my way out, through the mountains, I stopped at a scenic overlook. I walked a couple hundred meters to the lookout and was rewarded with an expansive view of the valley with a little hamlet tucked delicately between the immense mountains. As the little cars made their way around the little roads beneath me, I had an overwhelming feeling of "I am alive. This is now and what is everything?"

It's so fucking crazy that we're even here, you guys.
